My thoughts on this type of dog....
Blueticks
walkers
redbones
black dogs
English
plotts
leopards
crossbred
curs
Babblers
Silent
tight mouthed
bawl mouthed
squall mouthed
houndy sounding dogs
house dog mouthed dogs
Me-to dogs
rough dogs
close hunters
medium hunter
deep hunters
blow thru the country
jacks the tree
guards the tree
chewers
sit back off the tree
comes off tree inside of canopy
meets with head up
meets with nose to the ground
I THINK YOU GET THE IDEA HERE.
If I'm not feeding them it doesn't matter what they are. If the owner likes that dog, I say good for him.
If I don't like hunting with/against them I can leave and go home.
My only concern is that I have to outscore them on the night I draw that dog
Win lose or flip a coin, I will shake the handlers hand when we are done.
I dare say I'm as competitive as any person out there but we need to stop the bickering online. I have never understood the jealous nature of most hunters. I want to own the very best but I'm also not afraid to say that a man has a really nice hound.
I feel there is no greater way to spend idle time than in the woods with good friends and the hounds but look at the posts on here. Just think how they look to somebody on the outside of the coonhunting world. I bet they think we all don't agree on anything.
