i THINK Johnny MaClanahan used to own this dog as a pup. Seems like he may have sold him to James Merchant.

Joe

This hound is off House's Lipper semen. Gilbert bred his female and only had the one pup. He also had to have surgery on him when he was very young, so he never got to competion hunt him. I have owned 2 pups from him, both were on their way to making nice hounds. I have seen a few more off him that were doing a good job. I think this hound can reproduce good from what I have seen from some of his off-spring. He is from COONDOGS, so dont let it scare you 'cause he dont have an ALL GRAND pedigree.( which is OVER-RATED ). Keep us posted on your young hound and its progress. Thanks and good luck. Tim Knox

stylish fancy

I BOUGHT THIS YOUNG DOG 17 MONTHS OLD,THATS IN HEAT RIGHT NOW.SHES HAS A MILLION DOLLAR MOUTH AND LOOKS TO GO WITH IT.LIGHTLY HUNTED AND NEVER HUNTED BY HER SELF.FANCY NEEDS TO SINGLED OUT AND BROKE.
YOU CAN SAY SHES A PROJECT DOG.I TOOK A GAMBLE ON HER AND IF SHE DONT CUT THE GRADE I WILL MAKE HER A BROOD FEMALE.HER MOTHER IS A COON DOG (STYLISH CHINA).
SHOULD BE A REAL FEMALE TO BREED.IT MAY BE A A TOUCH TO MUCH OF LIPPER.JUST WONDERING WHAT MIGHT CROSS UP GOOD WITH HER,NOT MUCH ON SOME OF THIS NEW WAVE OF WALKER TODAY,YOU CAN SAY IM OLD SCHOOL.

old school ? stay with the old school ways
the new wave will wreck a breeding program quick, stay away from it.
as for lipper bred,,never enough lipper or house blood,,pump it up as much as you can.

if you want more house/coondog blood
ray webb has a real deal coondog ,nt.ch.floyds boone
he lives northeast of columbus ohio.

the skuna river fred dog is good lipper blood too..been hearing good reports about him also

the quickest way to loose what you got(coondog)is to keep outcrossing,

Female

My buddy has a hound that we raised, he is a Grand- pup to Hopkin's Cash ( Lipper bred ) on his top side and his mother is 2 x Lipper bred. He is a NICE hound with a HUGE mouth and wont hurt the eyes either. You could breed to him for a pup. If you dont want to do that, try Lipper's Cade or TJ's Stylish Lipper, you can not get too much. Thanks and good luck.........Tim

Lipper Blood,

Like Wildbill said, I have heard good things about Fred pups. If you can travel, you might want to consider "Rank". He's not offered to the "public" anymore, you'd have to call Doyen and talk to him about it, but a better reproducer directly out of Lipper will be hard to find.

lipper

I ALSO HEARD A LOT OF GOOD THINGS ABOUT FRED ALSO.SHE JUST CAME OUT OF HEAT,SO IT WILL BE A WHILE.A LOT OF TIME TO CHECK OUT SOME OF THESE DOGS.THE BEST CROSS I HAD EVER SEEN WITH LIPPER WAS A HOUSES CLINT FEMALE BREED TO
SPRING CREEK RADAR (SPRING CREEK ROCK) DOG.I KNOW I CANT GET THAT CROSS,BUT THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN.

Joe the best I have ever owned

was from a radar female bred to a direct son of houses clint.
I still am hunting that stock till this day. all of the Mud Run Milo dogs and many of the hounds from this area around here in Miss. have that same cross in their pens.

It was an awesome cross.

My main female has radar three times and skuna river bark, skuna river lipper and old lipper several times. It works for me. I am happy with what I am hunting for sure.
