I used it once to get back to the road. Forgot which way was the truck, before i had a garmin, an it got me there.. I turned the maps to the hybrid setting, to show the trees an land as i would see it.

Google Earth

I use it every time that I get turned around. It's easy for me because there aren't many landmarks and its so flat.

It's a great hunting tool that I rely on a lot. I have a 320 but still use google earth and the compass a lot instead of using the truck waypoint.

The only downside I see is like with any electronics, rain weather etc and of course hitting a satellite.

I like it, but maybe I'm the minority.

I like the Motion X-GPS app (iphone) better than Google Earth. Much more functionality. One of my favorite uses while hunting is to send location information to my home computer. If I can't get home my wife can click on my coordinates from the email sent to the computer and it loads my location direct into Google Maps. With that she can tell the computer to map to my position and this makes it easier for her to find me out in the dark. Lots of other functions in the app too.

I do, I use it when I'm turkey and coon hunting to see where I need to go.
