border line trainwreck, enjoy!

what a crap show tonite! loaded the box plum full and hunted different dogs throughout nite. thank god jeff and his buddy came down so had some company to witness our borderline trainwreck. got below freezing quick and snow was hard but hoped for better hunt than we had.

had good track where pups and toby and clyde didnt start together but ended together pounding track out and treeing on abandoned building, tunnels underneath and im sure coon was in it.

heading to a spot had hard running coon cross road we werent gonna mess with it but waited a bit and put a pup down. nothing pup just dinked, tried another pup same thing, tried another same thing. alrite threw toby on it and not only not a bark but he casted out hardest ive ever seen him. LOL. what the hell??? figured would be good one for one of the pups and it didnt work! had to catch toby a mile down the road.

dumped minn and trix for one and they worked rough track and treed on small crooked leaner tree with hole full of hair that went down from eye level to ground. couldnt see around bend but hoping coon was there it sounded good. would have been happy with that one but of course where trix was treed blood everywhere and back foot cut very bad, i assume from downed barb wire (i hate that crap). cut from ankle to toe and mite need stitched in morn.

cut dogs again and toby tapped a tree then blew out, pups tracked to the tree and treed pretty good. big tree with hollow at bottom but pups barking up, no interest in hole. tree had fur but it was a squirrell!!! LOL.

dumped again with good track going when toby and a pup quit and blew out of country. about then heard loud vehicle raising hell tearing up road north of us a mile. got clyde and pups loaded and toby came out further down road. of course only pup out yet was jeffs buddy and without a tracking collar. we kept going trying to pin down the idiots tearing up the roads but they were long gone.

back to looking for lost pup and could of hit cow that was out but avoided that. with the moonlite i was watching open spots in snow trying to find pup and wasnt watching road to good. LOL. luckilly found pup in short order still hunting.

had a couple other casts with nothing going, maybe those were the best of nite. LOL. pretty sad when highlight of nite was seeing a squirrel up a tree with pups cranking. once again dumb trixer was only out of the box once and gained some more scars. jeff can maybe think of some dumb stuff his dog did, i was so busy keeping track of my retards i probly forgot something. LOL. way it was going figured his dc40 was due to puke out but that worked good tonite.

cant wait for this 20 degree weather to be gone and moon can go as well!!!

happy hunting!
