Diamond natural extreme athlete or purina pro plan performance

Which one would you feed. Changing food I'm stuck between these two.

I was a Pro Plan man for many years. When Pro Plan went above $40 I started researching different feeds. I now feed Diamond Naturals and if really pushing one will feed the Extreme Athelete. I do not think the extra cost of Pro Plan is justifiable with other quality feeds available.

I love Extreme Athlete, the price of Pro Plan is outrageous.

Extreme Athlete for me, hands down. I fed Pro-Plan Performance for quite some time and was never nearly as happy with it as I have been with EA...plus it was much more expensive, even with the rebate checks. My second choice if I can't get EA is Tractor Supply 4Health Performance blend.

I would pick Pro Plan, but all depends what it will cost you. Its a great food, great food, but at $1.30lb plus tax, you can do better buying Dr. Tim's Pursuit or Momentum online. You will get more out of Dr. Tim's 30/20 than EA at 32/25 or PPP.

Dr. Tim's, Annamaet Ultra & Red Paw are the best foods I have ever used, Eagle Pack Power too.

They are expensive but i have field dogs still training and hunting at 10 - 11 years old not showing much wear at all.

Diamond EA for sure...... I don't think that pro plan comes close. Dogs do better on the EA and it is cheaper.

DIAMOND EXTREME ATHLETE Is DANGEROUS!!! They have had several recalls and I have way to much invested to watch them die from kidney failure or watch there hair fall out!! PRO PLAN!! Your decision but research Diamond and you find dozens of recalls!!

Diamond

Diamond EA hands down. I have been hunting 50 yrs and have fed every kind of feed including pro plan. I emailed the feed rep about why they dont support hunting the way purina does, he told me they dont so they can keep the feed more affordable to everyone. He did tell me when we have a hunt all we have to do is call them and they will help out with some feed.

I like the EA,pro plan did not keep my dog looking good, It let her ribs show, EA keeps her in shape for everynight hunting.

I can buy Pro Plan performance for $47.00 a bag, the Diamond EA is $39.00 a bag! With the track record Diamond has I will pay the extra. Diamond has more recalls than any other dog food on the market.

Dog feed......

Purina Pro Plan Perf. Hands down.....!!!
Only about $5.00 dif. Per bag, but worth the higher price, I have used both, Purina leaves their coats much nicer and shiny......Tim

At Dog Food Adviser: Lists diamond naturals at 4 stars. lists extreme athlete at 5 stars.

Dog Food Adviser, claims no connection to any dog food company and lists many different dog foods. Most other rating sites have a connection to a particular dog food.

Pat must have been looking at Diamond's "cheaper" corn based dog foods, not the naturals line.
