We had five dogs qualify for the world hunt... Can't give you the names because I was distracted cooking breakfast in the kitchen at the time, but Duke Proulx came in first with one of his Walkers, and Carol Coon came in second with a black and tan. I'll post again when I get back to the clubhouse and look at the records, but the rest of you should feel free to speak up!
We sent 18 dogs to the woods in five casts and everyone saw coon. It was a beautiful cool starry night to hunt. No bugs yet this year!

In the show, the grand winners were both owned by the Darobid family, a female English named Frostbite and a male redbone named Bubba. The Champion male was a Walker named Ratchet, owned and bred by Will Larraway and his dad with the same name. The B.O.S. male was a B&T owned by Tim O'Connor,,, Don't remember his name but Ken Adair was the breeder. One of the female winners was a light colored Plott owned by Michelle Walker. The other female winner is slipping my mind.

I don't recall the results of the water race either. Its been such a late spring that there was still ice on the edge of the pond and not too many dogs were eager to swim it. I know my own GRWCH Mudd wouldn't even get his toes wet. I believe Vicky Brachfeld's Pie dog, Walker, won both line and tree in the open field trial, and Frank Woods' English female won line and tree in the FCH class. My grand Clamour took line in the GRFCH class, without competition, but didn't bother to bark at the tree.

We had a great turnout, especially considering that there were two other UKC events in the state and we were also competing with the NY State Houndsmen annual banquet. Special thanks to all you Connecticut Yankees that participated. We had over 60 entries between all 4 events, and a very busy kitchen.

I haven't received the pix taken by BJ, our photographer, yet, but will add those in when I get them.
