Taking Coonhunting to the State Capital!!
Down here in FL due to the swamps and thousands of acres of lakes and waterways mixed in with the swamps, AIRBOATS are a common type of transportation. The Airboaters are getting pounded from people moving in wanting to restrict the use of airboats. I saw the following post on an airboat forum this morning and think is may me something Coonhunters and Kennel Culbs should band together and attempt to do before it's too late. I think the Kennel Clubs should ban together and not only have State Directors but a position of a State Political Representative. This person could ban the state together and take the coonhunters concerns to the State Capital. The States that did a better job could share with the representative of the other States on how they accomplished their agenda. It is going to be too late someday soon to turn back from the direction we are headed. Maybe we can slow it down.
On Wednesday, April 24, 2013, beginning at 7:30 am, Florida Airboat Association will hold an Airboating Industry Showcase at The Capital in Tallahassee. Lane Stephens, our representative in all things political is the lead in this groundbreaking event.
Airboat builders, drivetrain suppliers, accessory manufacturers, airboating services providers and FAA Executive Committee members will gather in an effort to showcase the products, jobs and community economic impacts that are integral to airboating in Florida - and showcase the economic impacts to Florida that our industry delivers through jobs, services and products supplied to the world.
FAA has hosted an Industry Summitt as a part of Unity Weekend in Okeechobee for the past several years. FAA decided it's time to take our show on the road and to showcase our industry to the political decision makers and policy creators so they might become better educated as to the breadth and depth of airboating in Florda.
The only thing we will be selling will be goodwill.
