Wow for a Show bred dog Butcher sure loves to hunt! Huge bawl mouth and learning how to use it! Been turned loose three times went three times! Very easy to catch! Made the race and stayed on mean bear and treed, even opening some on track!! No I didn't grab the camcorder all I was thinking about that that two mile hike to the creek and walk through nasty very thick brush to the tree and back out again very hot and humid! Tree a very nice big 300lb plus male only ten feet off the ground last night right at dusk! Lil Ruby,Jamie,Dottie,Diesel,Bug,Haley,and Butcher! Plus Butcher made another run today! I would say I like him better as a hunting dog now, if I could only get him to act like he does hunting at the bench shows! Butcher loves hunting better than shows! Will post a picture soon! Butcher came out of a nasty swamp all covered in mud dogs caught a bear this morning before it swam the lake! Mud should be good for the hair coat! lol

You guess it some old time walker blood back in pedigree! We have Butchers five generations pedigree with Lil Ruby's on web site and you will see why I bred the two! Lil Ruby has two litters and producing 98% hunting quality and 98% show quality! IF people could see this dog hunt they would think I switched dogs as to what Butcher is like at the shows! But then I always said I can get a better hunting dogs out of show stock than I ever did GrNite stock! Butch just lets it go gets goofy and plays when he's not hunting! With talking the husband into finally letting me build that garage with kennels heated for our bad winters I just might have to keep Butcher's whole litter out of Lil Ruby after a very nice lady takes her pick first! Well off to go see if we can rig a bear! Later! I will take the camcorder this time! Plus I just might have to go to Autum Oaks for my first time since I need to pick up that Dealer pup which should go well with the rest of dogs! Any kids needing a good pup or dog let me know I will give huge discounts for our future! If the gas prices don't go down I might have to go to horses or mules! LOL Thanks all! I am just so proud of Butch!

That's great that Butcher is working out in the woods.
He does go back to some hunting blood. He has several 1/2 littermates that enjoy the woods also. I look forward to some of those tree picture.

Here is Butcher's pedigree. On his bottom, he goes back to some Lipper blood. Old Mundar goes back to Mundo and Old Hickory Nut Harry. Bobby Cody didn't breed this dog, I gave him to him as a little pup. Currens, Snedegar, Lassiter, and Farthing can tell you about the hunting blood that he goes back to. Some of Butcher's littermates have been making great hog and dear dogs down here in Florida. Hot Topic is a full sister to Butcher, she hates a caged coon, but I have never hunted her.

Username bears36hounds Looking for Nailer look here under TW Classif. on the 18th reply there are some pics. of Dicks pups out of Albert and on a few of those pics Spitfire is to the left treeing his heart out. Spitfire and Albert are also half Brothers.
I really can't tell you if there is a blackheaded ones or not I have to go back out to Dicks, look and get back with you. They are just a few days old, very nice.
The Litter I have comming is GRCH'PR'Cody's Good News Sweet Missi who also was bred to GRCH'PR'Clamme's Spitfire.

We still get black headed dogs with little tan with this old bloodline we use and the very deep dark cherry red tan like LiL Ruby! So we are hoping for some very nice colored pups out of Lil Ruby and Butcher pups due September 5th! But since there are three already spoken for I might have to cross Dottie littermate to Lil Ruby with Butch or the Nemo last one off old Emerson Hank! I can't decide! Nemo is Hank top and triple Spring Creek Rock and Mears Zoom on bottom! I still have two females that we want to cross on Butch that are dark tan with black on head! I will try and get some photos of Butcher! With the dought we are having its hard tracking on old track but Old Dottie sure does a good job, been putting Butcher down with her! After bear season we will coon hunt Butcher! My Husband and I are very impressed with Butchers love to hunt for a World Ch Show quality dog! Goes to show you that just because some one like to show dogs doesn't mean they can't hunt as well or better than hunting bred dog! Lonnie Mears' told us that the first time we met him and bought Lady Sue as a show dog and went on to be top bear,cat dog and coon dog finished into GrNiteCh,GrCh! John Wade who I didn't meet" said you don't have to hunt no ugly dog! Same with Jack Anderson and his Rebel dog! I am making Amanda Carmack copy of the Walker male class for World Show 1996! Its something to see!

Not going to Oaks this year. So Topic won't be there. In her 1st litter, 5 pups came black headed like her. Only had 1 female and she is the only red headed pup. We are planning on breeding Topic in October. Just trying to decide on what to breed her to.
Also, the Peppermint Patty female, that we had, throws those black pups and I still get that color in her grand pups. Very strong gene. She also went back to Boomer.

...was a great reproducing female. She produced dogs with heads full of knowledge that were great show dogs and hunting dogs. My Tex dog is directly out of her and Lee is a grand pup of her, and they are both extremly smart!

Sorry Ruby54501 for posting this on your post (don't want to be nasty on your post), but I love the dogs that Candy has produced!

Well it doesn't matter if black or red! I seem to be seeing alot of bluedogs up here that are getting that red head so what does that tell you! Red must be good! I get about two or three out of a litter with black heads and the rest red and I have yet to see what this guy is talking about! They all turn out way smart ! Lil Ruby was out of ten pups and two had black heads and all turned into top hunting and show dogs! I just didn't show that much anymore at the time more into hunting and couldn't afford to do both at the time! I can do both now!

I bet they look good.

I have a Gossip female that is looking more and more like ole Naughty Nancy in the face each day. That cross has a lot of Rowdy/Mundar line bred in.
