Roughcreek breed hounds and jet bred hounds can fly on track and not bad tree dogs either

I've seen it in several different lines over the years, like many other traits, true track driver are rare finds. If any one line was throwing go yonder, track driving wood monsters consistently, everybody would be hunting it and winning major hunts. Finding balance is the key part I struggle to find. Track dogs without tree and tree without track still leave us with a lot of work.

Brigman,s Bo - he was a track driving machine . Pride is out of Bo he is same way, shine is out of Bo never hunted with him but here he is that way . Ike is out of Bo and he is very fast and can smoke a track. Ice is out of Ike she is same way . They all run tracks with their heads up , no ground pounding out of these dogs .

Ditto what Sonny said ... and to add .. I get kinda nervous when folks describe dogs as " track dogs' .. the best track dogs are deceptive and usually mislabeled as " quick tree dogs".

But , to each his own and Albert will be a name that comes up alot ...

Often times a "ground pounder" is called a track dog. To me a true track dog moves cold tracks with ease and strings other dogs out on tracks. I believe this is what dirt devil is saying also. Some of the most awesome track dogs I've ever seen in any breed, lacked some tree dog in them. Balance, mouth , looks and ability to reproduce its likeness= a life long journey. I'm sure Albert will come up often on this post as dirt devil stated. The world ch buck 2 was said to be track driver also. I saw some heavy eads/sowder bred dogs that could push a old track like it was a pretty hot one also.

I switched over to running Coyotes last year an took a couple B&T pups i had an got them running Yotes. Coon hunted for many many years needed a change. Young B&T dogs are actually doing very well on the Yotes. I would like to stay with the B&T so im in the process of building a all black coyote chasing army. So i appreciate all the input, keep it coming. Seems to me alot of the coyote hounds lack the Big mouth i enjoy on the Black dogs. So you see why the treeing isnt important just track speed and grit. Thanks keep your opinions roll'n my way

A lot of times, and more often than not, a dog that's called a "track driver", is usually just really hot nosed and the only tracks they can run or even smell sometimes is a hot track. When every track they run, they seem to be driving the track, when in reality, they couldn't move a colder track if it meant their lives depended on it.
