get rid of her?

Why?she has a problem! At this point if you get rid of her you are a lazy trainer when the problem started because of something you have done.Amazes me the advice people give on this site if all this so called advice was taken on here only about 5% of the coonhounds would make to a year old! WOW!!!!

that is why it said lol which means it is a joke..........but instead of you giving him some advice you wanna bash someone else who was OBVIOUSLY making a joke.

truth is I have seen hounds that are just plain slow and they will allways do it unless you shock em and that only works for awhile then you gotta do it again and again. at 10mnths any young hound should be able to keep up with any grown hound period and if they cant, Damon will take them

Heck, from what I read on here she sounds like she's ready for the hunts now. She babbles...so you can strike her first, never shuts up...keeps the strike open and won't get minus. Backs another dog treed. I'd say that is what everybody else is putting in the hunts. She should already be a Gr Nite champ. Now, if you can just get her to start fighting at the tree, well, I'd say she's gonna be hard to beat. Just light break her...you'll win a lot of Money in PKC...they'll love her. Prolly sell 5000 dollars worth of puppies out of her too. Problem, what problem!

Not saying anything about your dog.. But I agree with Cody, some of these dogs people take to the hunts is ridiculous.

not saying its all your fault

But the ones I have seen do this mine included(got one right now)starte doing it when they cant keep up or are not turned loose before faster dogs most time i find it is better to turn pup loose while im walking in so they have time to calm down before exicitment of the turn loose.Mine right now was caused from her being slower than her sister and playing in the yard chaseing each other she started to bark after her sister when playing as soon as she started to do this they dont get turn loose with each other like I said not always trainers fault it starts just not corrected fast she is ten months old she is still. Baby in my eyes I do not ask much out of my pups at that age but that is me some ask them to be almost finished by then.all ther own.keep working with her sounds like your on the right track!Dont get me wrong by my post but if you read enough of the I need advice posts and see some of the awnsers just amazes me! Good luck! Again sorry if i sounded like I was pointing a finger at you!

My second post was intended to the people hunt babbling me to dogs in the hunts that they think.there dog is finished and a world beater not you with a pup in training! I love to train pup and have had very good luck in doing it! Not all make the grade but I have the luck to only cull a few! But not without alot of_problems and nights I wanted to cull and start over.

Shut her up for a week or two, then take her alone once or twice, then take her with another dog not the same one shes been hunted with, see if that makes a diffrence , she pobubly just cant keep up with his style of hunting , might want to hunter with somthing else for a bit ......

damon is right! most of the time this is trainers fault by carring them to the woods when they are not ready so I will ask these questions and maybe we can help you out.

1. how long have YOU owned the dog
2. when did you start hunting her
3. was she hunted before you got her
4. when did she start babbling after dogs

answers these questions and someone may give you some good advice

if you did do anything wrong it would be hunting her with the same dog to much or just no time alone just hunt her alone for a month or so then put her with dogs if she babbles light her up

fault

i would say a pup is like a child it learns most of what it knows from older people, dont hunt a pup witha babbler or you will get a babbler, dogs loose barking off the chaing will start the same in a pup , hes just exited to be there and wants to get in on all the fun .........

this is easy fixed on most pups. if you can turn her out to run about a half hour before going to the woods to take the edge off her. then cut her loose about 5 minutes before you cut other dogs & make sure she's with other dogs when you cut them.

if she will hunt alone & your not in a place at home to let her run still cut her about 5 minutes before cutting other dogs.

the harder you can hunt her the quicker she'l quit babbling. i dont mean hunting all night but nights in a row. alot of pups that are wound up like an 8 day clock. if you can get the edge off them before hunting will quit babbling on thier own.

hunting her alone aint gona do a thing to stop her from babbling behind dogs.
