Price Help

I've got a ninth month old pup i've been working with for about 4 months now. Only reason i got him was to train and sell. But i can't come up with a good price to be fair and still make enough money for the time i've got in him. He hunts really good, trees super hard, has been split a few times from old dogs. his faults are has a little babble, and not very loud kinda a squeally mouth. When he is where he'll put em up by him self regularly, how much would be a fair price. He has the heaviest clover bred pedigree out there to my knowledge and is just ukc registered.

Your never going to get enough out of him to cover all the time you have spend training him.

You say he's 9 months...far cry from a finished (polished dog)... Poor mouth...big deduction. He has about 6 more months of real finishing and real maturity. Treeing coon by himself and holding split is a big plus! Breeding of dog is plus. Don't know his looks or temperament so it's a Question mark??? I would say (depending on your area) he could range anywhere from 600 to 1400. Hard to say really unless I hunt with him. Remember, what you see and another person sees are two different things. Any other faults and I'd say the price goes down from 600-. Good luck selling him!

A dog that can split tree at that age and have the coon is worth at least 1000.00 in my opinion. But his mouth would be a big drawback for me personally. I'd ask the 1000.00 you can always come down....
