Don't like someone?

Then don't talk to them, simple as that. I may be a young lady but I'll lay all my money down to bet that if I don't like someone I don't talk to them, nor do I give a rats behind what that person says or thinks...

Don't like the bloodlines that person is hunting or the style of dogs they hunt? Then don't buy them or breed to them. Simple as that.

Just my opinion.

Report this if you'd like but that wont change my opinion.

Lizz

Gentleman

Please hear what this young lady is saying, we should be here to encourage one another. If people speak negatively all the time of others, what kind of role model`s is that for others and the future of our breed. What does that produce for the future. A good friend of mine told me once that we all have to deal with people and stuff on a regular basis, so he said he lives by the motto, `Suc it up butter cup`!

Thanks Lizz for your post, may it be an example to us, just like the penguins on `Happy Feet`

John

thanks John, I was hoping it would stir some thoughts of how we should all, including myself, should take a step back and look at ourselves.

What can I change about the way I portray my ideas so that other may possibly follow my lead and work as a whole group instead of 5-10-20 different little groups that all bicker with each other and work against each other instead of with each other?

leading by example is a good way....but doesn't work when people get jealous....and that causes alot of problems in this breed. I try to help lots and lots of people in this breed. you know this Liz....I gave you a very well bred pup....and I have given alot of pups like that away. I also try to help people in this breed in other ways by supporting youth hunters and matching them up with dogs to hunt like we did for the youth nationals and akc youth world championship. I also try to teach young hunters the right way to start a pup and how to get involved in competiton.
but success sometimes attracts jealousy and bitter rivalry....two things that hurt our breed and hold it back from reaching its full potential. when people in this breed work hard to promote redbones and have success in competition....we should support them and what they are doing...because it is good for the breed and all of us involved in the breed.

not face to face

One of the biggest problems with forums is they are not face to face conversations. many times people can not tell exactly what you meant in a post . Many times it seems things can be taken the wrong way. With all that said, there is a big difference between being misunderstood and just plain trying to be disrespectful. If that is your intention with a post ,why post !! Everyone who posts on this board has a good side why in the world would anyone want to try to concentrate on the things that bring out the bad. I don't like even being part of a post that has others acting that way. Pride causes us to react when we feel disrespected ,not the kind of pride we feel when our dogs win but the kind of selfish pride we have that can make us feel superior. The bad kind of pride that LEADS us to type words to others to prove we are somehow better than them. Then that ugly kind of pride will spread back and forth and back and forth. When we fall into this trap it is plain to see who's LEAD we are following.
It's Easter weekend everyone. Remember who you should be following and run away from the one that want's to LEAD us all into his trap.

my suggestion, Next time you feel trapped by someone's post ,the easiest way to stay out of that trap is DON'T STEP IN IT. Not responding at all is always the best response.

Have a great weekend everyone.

well said Sawblade

The ignore list in your control panel works wonders as well. Just simply hit your ignore list, type in the name or the user name of the person that you don't want to communicate with and the posts they make no longer show up, just a simple note stating that they are on your ignore list. I like the feature on this forum, I had to use it a few years ago and I updated it this morning. works very well
