For what it's worth. A guy north of athens made a feed called ol blue. He was an independant. I used to work with his brother. Could possibly get you a contact.

I have fed it, off and on for years now, I don't feed it any more unless it's all i have on hand(the local store down the road sells it so in emergencies it is convenient) it's quality seems to have gone down in recent years. It used to have a real greasy feel to it, and kept good weight on the dogs. Now it is real dry, and they could eat double what I fed them before and still be hungry. I think it is made somewhere near elberton, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I sell it at my store and sometimes its hard to get from my supplier in quantity. Its pretty good cheap dog food, and I try to keep something like that for people who can't put a lot in quality dog food anymore. Times are tough for some hunters.

Ol Blue

worst feed I have ever had to get. Takes alot to satisfy them and you get ALOT of waste. Go ahead and buy quality feed you going to spend about the same either way. JMO

Just out of curiosity I'd like to know how the ingredients list on one of the bags reads. Anyone have that information?

I sell only the 21/18 and its a meat base. I have no complaints about this food, its a oily food that sometimes soaks through the paper bag and over the last month has changed to a Purina style kernel. Like I said before, times are tough and some people that feed a lot of dogs can't afford big name feeds.

If anyone can produce a name and a phone number, I would appreciate it. My supplier gets it in for us but he has only been able to get 6 tons to distribute out to us, which means we each only get 40 to 50 bag by weekly. I run through it fast enough that I'm going to have to go to a 5 bag limit, and I really hate to do that.

The way you described it as soakiung through the bag was how it used to be. I used to swear by ol blue, but unless it has changed in the last month, I haven't seen it like that in years.

THEY ARE 2 COMPANIES WHO MANUFACTURE FEEDS WITH THE SAME NAME (1) OL'BLUE WHICH IS MADE BY B&G FEED AND SEED HULL, GA. WHOM WAS OWNED BY THE SEAGRAVES YEARS AGO AND THEY ALSO MADE OL' BLUE BACK IN THE DAY! (2) THE OTHER OLD BLUE I HAVE NOT ACQUIRED ANY INFO ON! BUT YOU CAN GOOGLE IT! FROM MY PHONE CONVERSATIONS WITH B&G FEEDS THEY ARE WORKING TO MAKE A GOOD FEED, BETTER !THEY HAVE SEVERAL DIFF. BLENDS I BOUGHT 2 BAGS OF THE SILVER BUILDER 27% PROTEIN AND 18% FAT AS PER SOME BUDDIES LIKE IT, I AM GOING TO TRY IT! AT THE MILL IT IS $23.00 PER 50LB. BAG THE 21% PROTEIN 18% FAT IS $18.00 PER 50LBS. NO SOY, NO WHEAT, SEEMS TO BE DOG FOOD MADE THE OLD FASHION WAY! CHECK OUT THEIR WEBSITE, HEY IF YOUR LIKE ME, I AM SICK OF TRYING TO FIND A QUALITY FEED AT A FAIR PRICE! I AM GOING TO TRY IT! NOW DAYS FEED IS SO MARKED UP IN PRICE FROM THE MILL TO THE CONSUMER IT IS RIDICULOUS.
