Rules on Spectators in Nite Hunts

I am fairly new to the nite hunts but enjoy them from time to time and now my younger cousin (13) wants to see what it like. I really would like to get him and other kids involved in the hunts because I believe there is a lot they can learn. I need a quit synopsis on the do's and donts of spectators so we dont get scratched. Thanks for the input.

You are allowed 2 spectators and their job will be to say nothing, and shine nothing. Thats the best way to learn anyway.

I spectated a good bit of casts...and had spectators with me on casts...and had others bring spectators on casts...rarely is it just the handlers and dogs...

Like was said, they cant interfere and cant shine until the tree has been officially scored...handler is responsible for their spectator....

Id add they probably cant be on their phone either...

The best way to learn is to spectate some casts..

When i was spectating or have spectators they just follow me around or i followed the handler around...once we get close to a tree i shut my light off completely so they cant claim i was shining...

I believe spectators can be allowed to keep score...only writing what the judge says..ive done it as a spectator..just kept score..

From drop to drop id ask my buddy questions and learn what was going on...cant really ask questions in the woods as talking could interfere with others listening to their dogs...

Take them on hunts best way to learn but get them a blank score card so they can read the back of it and learn the rules. That's the problem with the hunts is they let people judge that don't know the rules. Look at the polls on here people answering rules questions all wrong and them are the people that judge.

Tell em yo keep that mouth shut and never shine up a tree while scoring is going on. Even if they vote its ok.
