I bought my dog without papers and was wondering if I can or how I single register him. and honestly how good does the dog have to be? btw I live in ohio if that matters

Depends on the breed and if that breed assoc. has single registration open . Some do and some don't and they have rules to follow . At a minimum most require that the dog meets the breed standard for looks and that they can be taken to the woods and run and tree a coon by their self . If they can do that for a inspector from the breed assoc. there are a couple fees to be paid and some paperwork .

Contacting your breed assoc. would get you started .
