Insane cane or High X pectation

I have a good Elvis female I am wanting to get bred and I have narrowed it down between these two dogs. Any pros and cons ??

Hunted with multiple pups off each and only really liked 2 pups both off X. Hunted with others off both . The pups I didn't like we're weak trailers and didn't have much nose . But the 2 off X I do like are off a hell of a good female. They are both track dogs /work horse type dogs . Real accurate and independent

I've owned a few from both all treed coon but in my opion the x dogs are better they open quick move good and have the meat the cain dogs were tighter on the ground and miss a litle more both dogs put good mouth in their pups both would be a good choice but for me it would be high x

Personally I think BOTH are over rated.

From what I've seen neither dog has produced that well for the amount of pups they've got on the ground.

Cain

I treed 3 single last night in an hour with my Cain female, goes on a dead run off the lead. Opens according to the track and has a huge horn on her. She can be tighter on the ground but a full littermate brother to her is an open mouth dog that has got that huge horn mouth.

Never hunted with a High-X dog but I've hunted with plenty of other lines of dogs and I wouldnt trade her for anything else.

Turpin's Clyde dog is a full littermate to Insane Jane, same bloodline and he'll put a big motor on those pups...might wanna check him out too.

I would breed her to insane Cain. I have a male dog off of Cain and he can absolutely fly on a track.

Sounds like you haven't hunted with the right Cain dogs, any stud is going to throw undesirable dogs.

Insane X has my attention more than any of the others from the Jr. x Jane crosses. He's winning himself and hes got some money winning pups. Shows me alot that Mr. Douglas has enough confidence in him to haul him to town.

Well I have hunted with quite a few out of both hounds. And matter of fact I have one of each I am hunting right now. The ones out of High X that I have owned or hunted with ALL had lots of drive and big mouths. Some where decent accurate and few not so accurate likes to get treed to quick, and they all seemed pretty decent track dogs. The ones I hunted out Insain Cain seemed to not have nears as much drive and was sometimes lazy, and I owned two that was ill. But one out Cain I do remember was a track dog but a bawl mouth tree dog and about 50 bpm but was pretty accurate. The other one was a sorry track dog but a 100 bpm tree dog and made lot of slicks. There is a guy that has one out of Cain that is nice hard hunter really accurate started quick but has a sorry mouth. The one I am hunting out of High X hunts till treed and pretty accurate, can drive a track like tied to it and a nice tree dog that will stay all night. The Cain female is more of a check dog hunt about 800 yards and check back in and is a nice track dog and tree dog and pretty accurate also, could be little louder and have more drive but I can live with it. This is just my opinion on what I have seen. So hope I didn't step on any toes thank you

Treed a double last night with my cain female, about 10 degrees blowing wind and frozen ground. Did a nice job on it- coon were sleeping, I wouldn't be afraid to get another one out of Cain at all.
