AMISH MAN GETS Fifteen Years FOR HATE CRIME?
THE RING LEADER IN THE BEARD CUTTING FIASCO IN BERGOLZ, OHIO GOT 15 YRS. AND THE REST GOT FROM ONE TO SEVEN!! DO YOU THINK THIS WAS A HATE CRIME OR RELIGOUS PERSECUTION??? FOR THOSE WHO AREN'T ON THE SAME PAGE WITH ME, THEY HIRED A MAN TO DRIVE THEM AROUND AND CUT THE HAIR ON THE MAN AND WIFE OF PEOPLE WHO WOULDN'T FALL IN LINE WITH THE BISHOP. I THINK THERE WAS 15 BOTH MEN AND WOMEN INVOLVED. THOSE CONVICTED HAVE SAID THEY WILL APPEAL THE DECISION ON GROUNDS IT'S UNCONSTITUTIONAL TO PROSECUTE THEM??? LETS HEAR IT!!

might be intersting i have always thought they took care of thier problems thier self they dont go with our laws and way of living went over to sharps with my boy yesterday man that stud horse we brought back from lagottee is lookin good he turns him out tells him go get a drink he goes drinks comes right back in the barn to his stall hes goin pull him this yr at the pulls he said might go to ohio 1 day this week get some shoes nails get things ready to start working them 1st of march weather permitting i mat ride out with him if im having a good day

WELL, I HOPE YOU FEEL GOOD, I THINK THE WEATHER WOULD HELP ALOT OF PEOPLE. I REALLY MISS SWINGIN' ON THE PORCH, THAT'S ABOUT THE EXTENT OF MY TRAVELS. NOT THE RETIREMENT I ENVISIONED BUT ITS BETTER THAN SOME.

know what you mean never thought i would be in this shape but ya never know that cold and damp weather sure makes my back and knees ache like the devil im ready for spring its 52 degrees here right now i love it

From a constitutional perspective- remember a judge forced the Fort Hood shooter to shave his beard before trial.... If a judge can do it.....

I REMEMBER TRULY, BUT THE ISSUE HERE, AS I BELEIVE IS CAN THEIR AMISH RELIGION, BE DEALT WITH OUTSIDE OF THEIR CHURCH? I MIGHT BE WRONG, BUT IT'S CAUGHT MY EYE. AS YOU KNOW, ALOT OF OUR LAWS DON'T APPLY TO THE AMISH. THE APPEALS HAVE TO BR FILED WITHIN A TWO WEEK WINDOW, SO WE'LL KNOW WHAT THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL CHALLENGE IS BEFORE LONG!!

They are subject to civil Law, both state and federal. Most of what happens in the Amish community stays in the Amish community. But this must have been prosecuted under Federal law for some sort of civil rights law. Can't remember what it was. Anybody? Could look it up but too lazy,been shoveling snow for the last 1/2 hour to check dogs and gather the eggs. More snow coming. Got about 8" so far.

I BELIEVE THEY WERE PROSECUTED UNDER "HATE" CRIMES STATUTE. I FEEL THE PEOPLE OUGHT TO STAY OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S BUSINESS! THE AMISH DON'T BOTHER OTHER PEOPLE, SO WHY SHOULD PEOPLE STICK THEIR NOSES IN THE AMISH'ES BUSINESS!
