My old unit has about bit the dust and I need a unit that will reach at least 1/2 mile and that usually means buying a unit rated for 1 Mile. My experience is they do about half what they say. ... A 1 mile unit generally reaches 1/2 mile.

Anyway, the question here is : Has anyone got experience with these cheaper brand units out these days ? I've always used Tritronics and Sportdog, but I see a lot of units for less than half price out there.... and Ebay is loaded with all kinds..

So , is it worth looking into or is it just Chinese Junk ? What say Ye ?
