Gonna start using a chevy trailblazer for hunting trips, I need to build a platform that goes in Reese hitch to build a box on and haul the hounds, Anyone got pictures of how they built their box I can get ideas from?

I hunt out of a jeep grand Cherokee and I took two medium size dog crates and built a platform for them to sit on and it works great

i hunt out of a explorer i just have a 2 hole box in back of it i can put 4 dogs in it easy its got wire on sides i like it very good and i can get 5 guys in it 2

Hey nick tractor supply carries a hitch mount carrier that you can build a box on. I had one but went to a box inside of my 4 runner. Didn't like how the hounds acted after a long trip. Air movement are gas fumes I thank was the big problem. Built one hi enough so I could put the back window down and they could stick there head out. Plus cut vent holes in the back for heat are A/C. Only down fall is the smell.

My wife and I hunt out of a Toyota FJ Cruiser.. We have a single stall box as we only hunt one dog at a time.. Im scared to put a box on the hitch for fear of getting my dogs smashed up in a rear end collision..

Jon brought up my thought...what happens when someone rear ends you....?



when i hunted out of an SUV i laid the back seat down and loaded the dog....

when dad and I hunted from one when i was a kid he kept the dogs in dog boxes in the back...


only problem i ever remember was when i was a kid and a dog got blasted by a skunk....whewwww that was a long ride home....
