It's the breed and dog on the end of the leash the person you are talking to is holding. If you don't believe me try it.

Leopards

As a breed Leopards are far and way the most accurate. Some lines more so than others. Don't believe me? Come for a hunt anytime.

I have to agree that there are more slick treeing B&T's out there now. I have been lucky enough to have fast coon treeing B&T's with mine that go back to Snoopy and Lawton Robinson's dogs. As far as walkers, I see ALOT of coon under Witch Doctor dogs, and anything out of Swamp Hollow Tick.

[/B][/QUOTE] Here is a pup out of my Stud GRNITECH GRCH CASH'S CAMO JUG OF SHINE. Not a very "cur" looking pup to me. LOL. I also hunt walkers and somepretty dang goid ones at that, but as far as accuracy as a whole breed goes the Leopards are top notch. My stud is the most accurate dog I have ever seen turned loose. Never had any trouble getting him to tree, he was treeing squirels in style at four months old, and snuck out behind the house and treed his first coon alone at around 5-6 months old.

I always saw Leop curs down here on cattle! They are he'll on wild cattle in the brush. Some do have a fair hound bawl when they are after something. As for coon I have never seen one under a coon. I had a border collie that would tree coon...maybe ukc will start registering them. I don't know about Curs.....hummm. Isn't a cur a less than desirable or something you can pick up at the pound? If I ever get beat by a cur I'm going to quit coon hunting and take up fishing

the Catahoula Leopard Cur is an entirely different breed than the American Leopard hound.

You should get out more Jody. Leopard hound is the 7th hound breed reconized by UKC. Yes they started out cur, but have been breed to hounds since the breed started in 1960.
