I was just curious..what's some opinions on the best way to get a young dog going by itself once you single it out?

i like to take them in the day time at first and let them get used to the woods that way then pack you a cooler with something to drink and some snacks and go at night turn the dog aloose and sit on the tailgate..but if he has the drive in him he shouldnt have trouble going by himself..ill even atch a caged coon and turn it loose 15 men. or so befor i get the dog out then turn the dog aloose so i kinda know what he is running.
