They are a cheater! But yeah it happens more than you think and I can't say I haven't let my nerves get the best of me and two or three open up and I struck in. Now I have never done it intentionally but guys do that's a fact.

Keep breeding and hunting these first strike babbling dogs. I'll keep pitching mine. No difference. We will both be cheating.

whats the difference in pitching a dog that has not barked or striking a babbler thats not tracking?????now this is just for the ones that hunts this kind,,,when your sport dies out and people won`t attend the hunts because of this who do you blame????you can lie to the judge and the other hunters but you can`t lie to the one in the mirror!!!!! almost every club has one of this kind but very few will take action against them.its kinda like this great nation of ours,,,it`s gonna take some drastic action to turn it around but who has the nerve????????

All 3 would be the correct answer. It has been done since day 1 of competition hunting.

just because there are people who pitch there dogs doesnt mean i cant beat them honestly
so for those who cry i understand but pull your dang britches up get your dog in shape and go kick them (cheating /pitching ) guys butts fair and square.
i have hunted against many a slick handler but that doesnt mean im gonna cry , i have beat some slick handleing guys and its a great feeling knowing you did it honestly
just because some one cheats doesnt mean hes gonna win

this is jmo

A few years back in a pkc cast i drew a three dog cast it was a bad night snowing cold as we walk down the road to ccut the dogs we were talking about the night and our dogs i tell em straight up i didn't have the dog power to compete a 18 mo tree jammer we turn the dogs i strike for 50 the dogs track a short distance and ole jake dies on a tree before i could say anything one of the cast members trees another dog hits and is treed i tree for 50 two more drops a repete of the first their pitching coast them a win its the onley cast I've ever won on least minus now were they wrong for pitching their dogs or was i for leting them pitch with more dog power and a beater night i wouldn't have let by with it so easy i think we were all in the wrong...well i know we were i took honest strike on every drop because jake had no nose. This dog would latch in a heart beat he shouldn't have lived to see 18 mo

pitching

"slick" handler{s} know if they can keep getting 2-3rd strike points hunting a tight or silent dog. is way ahead in the end than taking 4th strike all night.

in 4 drops possible extra 200 points just by pitching on strike.

allowing garmins{on questioned call;aka pitching} and punishing proven cheaters would help end it.

2 guys strike same dog.judge asks them both to point where their dog is.then looks at garmin finds 1 dog is 200 yards in opposite direction.
minused or scratched!!

As a man who tries to pattern his life after Christ , the dishonesty , the language , and arguing is why I choose to do very little comp hunting, after all is this a place to take my son and teach him how to hunt and interact with people . If have to cheat to win you didnt win you cheated . You can put lipstick on a pig but its still a pig ( and most of em stink)

whats wrong with a little integrity ?????????
the title of nite champ is / was / supposed to mean something about the dog's ability at one time.....not the pitching style of the handler. Maybe UKC should take a look at awarding titles to the dogs that do it the way it was meant to be done, and then have a separate awards banquet or window decal for a "pitcher:" can put on his truck "1st place winter classic pitcher"or something......wonder how many would be proud to put that on there truck or dog box..... LOL....
then put a thread on the board about studding yer dog out to all those interested in a sire w/ a "pitch" degree....... LOL
some of this stuff makes me glad I'm just a good ole hide hunter and can enjoy the sport for what it was at one time.........

we need to add HTX GRNITE CH

As men trying to breed raise and handle quality no mattwr what breed style if only breed to and from hounds with HTX in front we could clean some of the junk up . My only concern would be still be ( HONESTY )! IF WE HAD THAT BACK
