Frost???

So I have been going out at around 8:30ish and the hunt is good until about 12 or 1 and then the frost sets in and my dog starts tapping trees. Is the frost messing up his nose? What is y'alls opinion?

My experience has been that the best tracking you can get is a coon that runs after the frost comes down. The worst is on coons that ran before the frost came down.

I've seen dogs that had a tough time when the first frost lays down. Just like some beagles can't run on snow. JMHO
