What's the best cap light

I am looking into purchasing a cap light. I want one that is bright and has a long burn time. A friend bought a brighteyes light and it did not have a long burn time. He sent it back and got a belt light. Has anyone heard how long the burn time is on the big dog light? Right now I have the laser torch pro and the boss light at the top of my list. Please post you reviews of any cap lights. Thank you

Check out Ken St. John's CRYSTAL LIGHTS. They are SUPER BRIGHT, have great burn times, very dependable, and AFFORDABLE. I had the CS-5 Cap light and at 25,000 LUX it was as bright or just as bright as a 28 volt belt light. The new EXCALIBUR has 55,000 LUX it is UNREAL how BRIGHT it is, and for $225 that's a steal!!!

The best cap light is the one you like the best. Most Lights come with a 30 days money back if you don't like.

The Laser Pro and some of the other LED cap lights that have one LED have a smaller spot making it hard for some to walk (the only way to know if this is you, is to use one). The Laser Pro you can now get with color LEDs but the color LED has a black hole in the spot of the color LED. The way the Laser Pro works you can't control the brightness of the color LED.

The Boss has a 7LED all white cap light that is real bright, but you give up some brun time. The new Triple Threat head is real neat there is nothing like it on the market. It has 5 white LED a red LED and a green LED. Now with the switch they use the red and green come on at the same time to make an amber color. The amber color is brighter then the green and the red because it is using both LEDs. Some people that wanted a head that was more of a 5100 color and can see amber light better should love this head. The amber color some say are as bright as a 21 volt on high on the low side of a 5100. When using the amber color your only burning to LEDs this will make for a longer burn time. The color LEDs on the Boss you can control the brightness of every color with the 5 click switch. There is 2 videos on how the Boss Triple Threat works.

I would think if you use the amber to walk with you could double the brun times and some this is just my opinon you should ask Conkey if this is fact.

I own or have owned the following lights:

Tri-Tronics NightRazor - good light, not great. Not the near the brightest light on the market. Light weight. I carry it as a backup. Wouldn't buy it again.

LaserTorch Pro - first version - very bright light; very tight spot. If you are looking for a large halo, this is not your light.

LaserTorch Pro- NEW light with Colored LEDs - I dont like this light at all. The white light is just like stated above but the colored LEDs are not very good. There is a large hole in the middle of the colored LEDs. I used it one time and won't use it again. Major problem with the colored LED.

Sunspot - nice light. Large halo and very bright. Does not come with colored LEDs yet. Pop covers. Very Nice light. Isnt as bright as the LaserTorch Pro.

Valley Creek Pro - If you want a light that has a larger halo, this is the light. It isnt as bright as the LaserTorch Pro, but it is still plenty bright. My light has the red LED.

I have wasted a lot of money on lights, trying to get latest and greatest. If I had to buy 1 light, I would buy the Valley Creek light with the colored LED.

Again, this is just my opinion.

Crystal Lights

Like someone else posted above the crystal light is great for the price. I hunt with a fellow and he has bright eyes. I went hunting with him and he said he would buy the crystal light over the bright eyes if he had to get another one. Not because he don't like the light but mine has a tighter spot and is bright than his and you can't go wrong with the price of the crystal light. I hunted every night one week and forgot to charge it and figured I would be walking in the dark and it never dimmed or went dead and I hunt a minimum of four hours a night.
