Well good luck hunting, first storm we got 31" second 8" to 1', if your dog trees in that crap I hope it is close to your truck, would not want to wade into get him.

The reason I was out in that snow is she's a hot nosed dog and she'd been burning deer once the snow was over 6" deep. So I felt pretty comfortable that the coon would be holed up or if one was out it would climb the first tree it could and that track would be short and sweet.
Shock collar was fully charged ,on tight and had vasaline between her neck and collar. Wanted a GOOD contact. Took her to fresh water. Cast her and sure enough. She struck. Once she went more than 50 yards I fried the heck out of her. I let the shocker time out. LOL She's been trash free since, but I still leave the shocker on her.
I have trust issues..

i wont a dog that can tree a coon in any conditions that why i was out there hunting we dont get a lot of snow wonted to see if he would hunt in it and tree coons and thats what he did

i have dun the same befor make sure the coon is not out and if i get one bark i push that button some people just wount use the button i guess they like to just have them 4 toyes instead of wat they are made 4,good training and you sound like you know how to train,good luck,david

Well, I'll tell ya what...I have had mine out there in snow and ice and water and seen that they would go but hey, my momma told me "Son don't you be no fool" I'm not going to punish myself or my dogs in that kind of weather when I can pick so many good ones out of 365! To each his own though! You do your thing and I'll do mine! I ain't got to pay yours or your dogs medical bills!

i see what your saying but nights like that are way i hunt i love to see a dog work for hes food and work a old bad track and put a coon on the end of it and when most are at home in the bed thats when i wont to be out there hunting
