With a heavy heart I must say good-bye to my friend today, GRNTCH Tekoa Mtn Jack. I cannot begin to tell you what a joy it was to own such an outstanding hound. I've walked hundreds of miles behind this dog and he never let me down. In my 2
0+ years of owning, raising, training and competing with hounds and of the hundreds of hounds that I have hunted with, there were none better than Jack. I will miss him dearly, he was my friend, my hunting partner and he gave 100% of his heart 100% of the time just to please me....he owes me nothing. Our most beloved hounds, pets, family members for that matter, never stick around long enough. Hopefully you have some young off him?

Thank you all very much....this is an extremely tough loss for me tonight because I know I will never again own another hound as good as Jack was...even though he was deaf and could only see out of one eye we hunted together this past weekend and he gave it his all...he made his last tree with a coon in it 574 yards from where I turned him loose...he died on my lap this afternoon and I will never forget him, I will place his ashes under that last tree.

We will certainly do this together...without Jack Sr and the dogs behind him we would have nothing...it is going to be tough to find another one anywhere close to being what these hounds were...

We're so sad to see you lost your old friend. Thank God you had all that GREAT time together and that last hunt sounds Heavenly for both of you.... He will carry a part of you with him...and you will always have a part of him with you as well..... He had a GOOD life! Thanks for sharing him with us all on here...it's been a pleasure......
