Other than the Pro Series, all the other feeds except the 26 18 have corn in the first two ingredients. The 26 20 and the 26 18 have ground brewers rice as the 2nd ingredient, then ground corn as the 3rd ingredient, with Chicken By Product and Porcine Meat & Bone Meal being the difference in their first ingredients. I've experimented with some of my dogs and they don't get as hot in the summer if I am feeding a feed that doesn't have corn in the first 2 ingredients. The corn is what I thought made the dogs get hotter, but maybe I am wrong.
John, I feed the 26/18 year round & have very good luck with it. Pocine meat & bone meal is a mixture of pork & chicken, not just pork only. I am not crazy about any of the feed with Chicken By-Product being the main ingredient, chicken feathers are full of protein but are not as beneficial of a protein source for the hounds. For price vs. quality, I have yet to find something that does as well as the Pride 26/18. I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there who have had bad experiences with it as well, every dog is different & what some will do good on others will not.
