Dc50?

We just got two dc50s and we are still using our other dc30. we went hunting the other day and we keep losing the 50s and never lost the 30s at one time I was only 250 yards from the dogs and keep losing the 50s. and we keep better GPS with the 30s then we did the 50s. Can anyone tell me whats going on becaue becaues I was told they was going to keep GPS and COM better then the old stuff but the two we got are not. And also the battery did not last near as long as they said it would. I cant see alot of diff in bat life from the 30s. Also we checked the update and they are all up todate

Knowing your in Virginia, it could be your terrain, I know when I hunt the mountains it's just tough to keep a signal period. You could try swapping out the hand held antenna.
I keep a truck antenna in the pick up just in case the dogs get pretty deep.

All of our other collars work fine and we can have no trouble with them they are 30s. The only trouble we are having is with the new 50s

Satellite settings

When I got mine the dc40s where getting better range. I read on here about changing the sat settings on the handheld and I get a lot better signal now.
