I have some friends that are as good of Christian as God put on this earth. They go to Church twice a week but more important, they live the life of a good Christian. I consider some of these people my best friends.

But, none of these folks try to impose their beliefs on me or anyone else. None of them are what I call "bible thumpers" who try to impose their beliefs on others, implying theirs is the only path to God.

There are plenty who claim to be "preachers" who lie, cheat, and steal. I know of one so called "preacher" who stole $9,000 from the English Association. He run ads in the magazines every month selling dogs he bought at trade day for little or nothing to be good coon dogs. Some of you Bible thumpers need to spend a couple of thousand and buy a coon dog from him. He can sure thump a Bible as good as anyone.

Since when is sharing the gospel or someone giving their testimony on a coon hunting forum imposing their beliefs? Nobody is putting a gun to anyone's head or forcing anyone to read anything. Sure would hate to see you in a tight spot if you call that imposing,

lakeland kennel has got a point on some things i have seen ppl condenm others on here when our judgements is not righteous,and ppl has the right to believe what they want,god gave us a free will, the best thing we can do is be the witness jesus would have us to be,and that is to live a christian life,

the bible tells us (paraphrasing here) that there will be those so called christians setting in pues in churches every sunday, it isn't for us to decide who is going to hear the words of "welcome in my good and faithfull servant" but there is only two that knows the true state of your heart and that is yourself and God...

The question was asked on the other thread about condeming your child to hell... Honestly speaking.. I have two kids and if they was breaking my rules then I would tell them to get out of my house... now and I am still there if they want to come back and "repent" and ask my forgiveness they would be welcome to come back home but still live under my rules... Now if they didn't want to come back and repent and following my rules then YES I could condem them to "hell" so to speak... It is called tough Love and that may be the problem with most of the world anymore no one uses tough love...

More I have read these two post the more I realize it seems that people are just wanting to stir something up or keep looking for excuses to not totally turn their lives over to GOD and allow him to be the Pilot of their lives.

What gets me is when people used the bible for there own political agenda. I think this is the same bible and teachings that were used when the first european landed here so what was the problem,follow it to the letter not pick and choose. Is the bible and the constitution one of the same?

It's not my calling to force any religious belives on anybody but it is a commandment from the Lord to spread the good news about our Saviour Jesus Christ. People can make up their own minds weather to accept or not. I have things forced on me every day. Abortion, gay marriage, legalized marijuana, etc. etc. God bless the good ol USA .

thats 1 thing i aint i was raised in a christian home my dad is a retired minister but he also worked at a owens illions glass factory here till it went out of bussiness do i live the perfect life i will admit i dont if i could follow in my dads foot steps i wouldnt have a worry about where i will go on judgement day i have a buddy that belives there is not a god his wife has cancer and its spreding i told him they need to turn to god and ask for his help he said you know i dont belive there is a god told him dont want to make you mad but there is a god but if you dont belive in him theres no use in asking him for your wifes shake

tell me one time that if someone is a hypocrite in church keeping you away from God, That they are still closer to God than you are. That was when I wouldn't go to church and was mad at a situation we had in the church. Some ten years later this past February, I surrendered to God's call on my life to preach his word. It has been a fun walk with God and I hope he will use me to Pastor full time one day. God Bless you all and if you don't know Jesus as your savior, please let someone tell you about his salvation plan for you. I don't mind imposing and telling you about a plan of eternal life in Heaven as opposed to you spending eternity in Hell. Folk, I wasn't raised in church. We were Chreasters. We went on Christmas and Easter. I cussed like a sailor and was mean to most everyone of my loved ones. It about cost me my marriage and everything that is now important to me. God has changed my life completely and can yours too.

Regardless of what happened or happens in the future using others for an excuse not to serve the Lord Jesus will send many folks to hell !
It's easy to justify anything we choose to.
The folks that have used religion to wrongly lead others is wrong, but it is still no excuse for me not to serve!

beardenrent, we might be the same person. Thanks for sharing your testimony. I too was called into the ministry a few years back. I am blessed in that I am able to act as Associate Pastor at our church, I am able to serve our congregation and community by making hospital calls, officiating marriages, and funerals. I preach occasionally, not as much as I would like. I have never known greater joy than sharing the gospel. Nothing has ever given such great satisfaction as just sharing it. God does the work, we merely read the instruction manual. It is amazing how God can use someone, anyone, no matter the circumstances of their lives, to be His hands and feet.


Keep being of use to our God, brothers and sisters.

some things in my life I'm not really proud of and a few that I am.Just say i'm probably not the best person in the world to even talk about the bible, but anyone that do's not believe in a higher being just look out your window and tell me how we came to be. It dos'nt take a mental giant to figure it out. I just hope there is a place for me. Cause I know my old dog NTCH CAMPUS CREEK HAROLD is there. LOL TOM
