Smokey River Memorial--BBCHA Sectional This Weekend

Come join us for fun and fellowship in Eastern Oklahoma. The hunt is listed in Coonhound Bloodlines, and in the upcoming events on the UKC website at Wister, OK, but will actually be held in Monroe, Ok just south of Poteau, OK. BBCHA will provide King & Queen of hunt and King & Queen of show trophies to the blueticks. Eastern Oklahoma CHC will provide trophies to the bench show and nite hunt winners. This hunt is open for all breeds, so come on over to Eastern Oklahoma for a good time.

OK, Wister; Eastern Oklahoma CHC Hwy. 59 south from Poteau. Hwy. 83 east to Monroe. Right, one block. Signs posted. Contact Joe Allen (918) 653-4493 or (918) 658-5106 or Jeff Lovell (918) 962-5103

You have to be a BBCHA member to receive King & Queen trophies. Memberships are available at the hunt for $30.

Any member that would like to help get prizes donated to the hunt winners would be great.

Local blueticker Brandon Short has offered his cabin for people to stay in while attending this hunt. He said that it would hold about 20 people. Won't cost you anything to stay. We have had gatherings there in the past and everyone has a great time. It's a nice cabin.

YOU WILL BE HUNTING MOSTLY CREEKS AND BOTTOMS,MOST GUIDES WILL NORTH AND WEST OF MONROE, THE CABIN WILL BE IN MOUNTAINS BUT THERE IS PLENTY OF GOOD HUNTING WITHOUT GOING TO THE MOUNTAINS TO HUNT HOPE YOU GUYS CAN MAKE IT

Hunting terrain

WE USUALLY TREE 1 TO 4 RACCOON IN A 2 HOUR NIGHT HUNT. WE WILL BE HUNTING POTEAU RIVER BOTTOMS AND CREEKS AROUND HEAVENER, POTEAU,HOWE AND MONROE. SOME OF THE GUIDES WILL HUNT AROUND HACKET AND GREENWOOD AR.. AND BOKOSHE, KEOTA AND STIGLER. MOSTLY ALL FLAT GROUND. NOTHING AS FLAT AS KANSAS WHERE HURT,JEFF AND MLECK HUNTS LOL. THEM BOYS HAVE IT MADE LOL. WE SHOULD HAVE SOME GOOD SCORES IF THE COON ARE MOVING AND YOU BOYS BRING SOMETHING THAT WILL TREE EM. MINE TREE THIN AIR AND POSSUMS MOSTLY....
