Dna Question

In coon hounds does two brothers or two sisters have the same DNA?

Example if you bred either of the females could you tell by DNA which sister the pups belonged too?

No littermates do not have the same DNA. However, the codes you see on a DNA test does not necessarily signify DNA. The codes are for markers. Markers can include everything from DNA to simply protein sequences.

In your example, yes they can tell what sister.

My Brother Messed me up on a Breeding one time !! By accident (??) He bred my Female to Both Father and Son of his .. I had to send off the DNA samples of (All 3 + 1 Pup) involved .. I got a call from the DNA Bank and they said they were only 75% positive of which 2 males were the Father of the Pups.. I have to pay for the Next level of DNA which is a 64 Marker DNA report to have a 95% or Better conformation. That 64 marker test cost another $125 on top of the 4 other DNA tests .. So total of $265 just So I could know Who the Sire Was !!!! ..

Never let him Help with another Breeding !!! lol

You've all started hearing of ... My dog is genetically fixed at whatever %. Keep in mind that genetically fixed genes(s) can't be known, yet, of what traits it's fixed in. Hair color , size, temperament, what? Went through that about 10 years ago with a breeder. DNA will tell you they pups are related and that is about all the accuracy they can prove. I'll argue that topic with anyone.
