I loaded up Ike and Mouse for a hunt tonight and had something un expected happen.

I got Mouse out and casted her loose. It wasn't long before she was struck and treed. I then got Ike out and casted him loose.

Here is Mouses 1st tree.





This is where things got interesting. Ike was split from Mouse 500 yards so I took her back to the truck and drove a few hundred yards closer to Ike. I walked into him and he was treed on a great big beech tree full of holes. I started back to my truck and I heard Mouse chopping away. Thought to myself my gosh I'm guna kill her for barking in the box like that. I got within 100 yards from the truck and noticed she was treeing far from the truck. I loaded Ike up and realized she was treed in a woods that's so thick you cringe anytime you have to get in it. A tornado touched down in there 2 years ago and the woods in just an utter mess and Mouse with the leash on her was treed dead center of it. Took me awhile to walk into her and sure enough somehow she made it through all those briars and fallen trees and was bleeding bad and was sitting under a huge coon. You know a dogs drive and heart in an amazing thing. I am thankful to have a friend like Mouse. She is a rare kind and I may never have another like her. Enjoy and be thankful for that special dog you have.

I just bought myself a pup out of Judge dredd and if he has half the heart of that dog ill be a happy camper.

I sure thought I latched the door but guess I didn't. And heck no its not an LED just puts a tight spot and its bright. That's the hardest Mouse has ever pulled me back to a tree. She wanted that coon bad! Kinda wish I would have had the rifle. Hate those jungle coon in that woods.
