I believe that is to comply with state game laws concerning coon hunting, not specifically a U.K.C. rule.

Austin, there is no mention of it in the rulebook. Common sense suggests you should probably quit before 11 am. I don't know without checking LA but some states have certian times of the day that you may or may not hunt. Just to have an official time in place to where one hour interval hunts must be exhausted it makes sense to have our policy be the official time of sunrise, unless otherwise determined by state law. Those involved in the Final Cast were informed of that policy as it is written and was available at the Zones and Finals. Hope this clarifies your question.

? What local hunt have you been at on a Friday or Saturday held by UKC where they had a final four. I don't know of any anywhere that does that in UKC. Only and if only you have for cast winners that come in with the same exact score and they decide to go back out for one hour and decide a winner. That just doesn't happen.

I think you are thinking about PKC. You are getting the two confused.

Well, the UKC hunt rules allow for an hour of "OT" if you are hoplessly deadlocked in a tie...doesn't allow for OT for "no score", but it doesn't expressly "EXCLUDE" it. So a pair of dogs tied at the end of a two hour hunt COULD go back out.....

That is what I was explaining to him. I just used four because he said final four. I know that if two dogs are deadlocked even you go back out and hunt or you flip a coin.

I think he has the two KC's confused. UKC dosen't have a final four unless like you and I both stated if it is an even score or they can flip a coin if it is two dogs. PKC has final fours all the time if one hunter decides to hunt it off.

In Missouri you can not run your hounds in daylight during firearms deer season, which now with all the youth seasons and blackpowder seasons ,heck it last clear into January.
