J.m.o

So I hear about Muck boots all the time and how people love them and they're so great. So my dad gives me his pair of muck and chaps he just bought cause he got a newer pair of boots. First time wearing them and i couldnt even get my jeans in the boot!!! I dont know who designed them but theres not even room to fit the jean down inside the boot???? Also I by no means have fat legs at all....hell I had to cut the back of the boot just so they werent so tight on my calf.

FYI for anyone wanting new boots the mucks are junk in my opinion. Be getting new lacrosse's at AO.

To each their own I guess. I love my Muck boots, had them for almost three years now and they are still in great shape.

I will say though that I don't tuck my pants into my boot when I hunt. I leave my pants on the outside of the boot.

You do have fat calves or something. Maybe some kind of super thick bluejeans. If you can't wear the mucks. Your screwed. They are the biggest calve fitting boot made.

I wear two pairs of socks and it solved my heel issues with the boot.

I used to wear the mucks, but they rubbed my calves raw and I always had issues with my pants leg as well.

I got the lacrosse mud lite with the neoprene upper and on the back it has a piece that lets it expand.
Problem solved.

Fixing to go leather though...

I always wear the socketts from bama....there great

Yall do know that valley creek can sew about any chap to any boot. I had my last pair custom made. They sewed light chaps on a short pair of mucks. Ain't no taller than a work boot. If that tall. They are muckmasters so still have aggressive tread pattern. Look on the muck site to find em. No more calf issues now.

Here's the ones I had done. Cooler on you to cause they don't come as far up your leg.

That is hard for me to believe. I am 6ft 190 and they fit me fine with room to spare.

If I had plenty of money to throw away. I would buy nothing but muck . I wear shorts in them. So my calves are not the issue. Two pair a year for the heal issue was getting old. For the one's getting a few years or more out of them. You must not do much hunting in them or just walk or your made different. I now use the mud lite and happy so far.

muck dont hold up good in the swamps down here. i went through 2 pair a few yrs ago because they were tearing and getting holes in the sides of the boot. the heal wore out as well. lacrosse is a much stronger longer wearing boot. muck is a good boot just not a good coon hunting boot

Im 6'1 and 245lbs and wear a size 13 my mucks have enough room for my pants to go down in the boot.. Most of the time I wear shorts and short socks with them.. Only complaint I have is the heal wears out on the inside..

You fellows realize that all Muck boots and chaps aren't the same. All I wear is Muck, and I have had some boots that were too tight around the calves, and others that weren't. If you have purchased boots from different vendors, you should have noticed that some have different color linings in the boot, and most vendors now have their own chaps sewn on. I think that is the reason some calf areas are too tight on some boots. The pair of Much boots I have now seem to have actually shrunk around the area the chap is sewn onto the boot. I want tell who the vendor is, but they have their own named chaps sewn onto the boot, which I think is the problem.
I think Muck could address the heel wearing issue. Why do I want to buy a pair of boots and then have to wear a special sock or 2 pair just to keep them from wearing out the heel.
