OT Septic question

I assume most of you live in rural area's, i'm in Minnesota and have to put in a septic mound system, i'm curious how hard they are to do yourself thanks rick

If your talking about the raised leech beds or elevated not that hard if you have the equipment, pricey here in southern mich, 20 grand and up. In my area you have to have 2 one thousand gallon tanks, with 2 pumps that alternate from side to side and an alarm system to tell you its not working.

Your most likely going to have a soil test done and then to have a plumber draw up the plans along with township and or county permits ... Other than that all that is involved is chisel plowing the land dumping 10-12 dump trucks of mound sand a load of #1 washed stone a couple lengths of pvc pipes between 2-3 1000 gallon concrete tanks the pumps if its not gravityflow pvc pipe from house to tanks and 10-15 loads of topsoil to cover... It's been 15 years since I worked for a guy that installed them so I may have forgot somethings
