In am all about curbing excessive barking when it affects the people who live around you, part of being a good neighbor. BUT, I think it is BS when people move into an area and then suddenly complain about what has been there all the time. Like people who move next to airports. Or this idiot in my area who moved next to a dog boarding kennel that had already been there for 20 years. He calls the cops about the barking.

Educate yourself on your county or township noise ordinance then take it to your county officials. Ours has some leeway built in to it such as time of day, noise level and amount. My one and only fine cost me 75.

Mine which is atleast 300 to 400 yards or more away. Across a big ol creek through a kudzu field and in the woods. Well he hung a bark collar on my mailbox with a note telling me to use it. He's a idiot and ain't gonna like me if I run into him.

having a dog in a residensual area is like being a registered sex offender. it gives everyone an opening to pick on you. you can't defend yourself because you are already partly guilty. the cop is always going to side with the complainer because he knows the dog doesn't have a leg to stand on. if you're a christain there is nothing you can do but pray for you neighbor and use a no-bark collar.

I have a neihbor that has several hundred acres and built a new house right on the road. Several years later he tried to get the township to change the road to run behind his house .When i asked his wife about this she said how would you like it if the road ran right through your front yard ! You should have scene the look on her face when i said you should have thought of that before you built your house , i honestly dont think she ever thought of it like that.
