Help or hurt?

Do you guys think hunting pups/young dogs on these extremely hot and dry nights helps them or hurts them?I am always concerned about creating problems such as chewing or jumping at the tree. What are your feelings towards this type hunting?

it helps the dogs to hunt them. but, you must provide plenty of water and ensure they don't get too hot. i wouldn't let them run a fox because they run too long but a coon, in the evening or at night shouldn't be too hard. i take a pump up hand sprayer and spray them with water each time they come back and i don't let them run but twice before i box them up take them home.

i'm not sure it helps a lot, but it can't hurt as much as just sitting up all summer, when we are talking about a young pup sure enough. If we sat them up for cool weather, around here where i'm from, we might hunt them for 60 days a year. Biggest hurt we have here is watching out for alligators, and i have been seeing them in places i have never in 52 years seen one.
