elrod.......I "THINK" you have to have the dog in your name and have your card before you can enter him in a hunt under your name. Now you can enter the dog in the other owners name and you as the handler. I THINK!!!!TCB

You may also enter the dog using the signed papers to prove that you are indeed the new owner. Both the seller and the buyer must sign and the date of the sale must be written. But if you have already sent the papers off, you will have to wait till you get them back from UKC.

around here you have to have your easy entry card or the dogs papers and if there signed on the back already they wont except them.

Bludawg is right! But all wins go to previous owners name until papers are actually in your name.

You can enter the dog with the old papers and a signed handling slip from the pevios owner or just the easy entry card but only at two events.

The way it was explained to me

Was, that in this case, you enter the hound in whatever name that is on the reg. papers, and you are the handler. The points or titles don't go to the owner, but to the hound, It dosent matter who owns them. Maybe Tank, or Todd will see this thread and tell you for certain.
