Where can I get a medical stapler? I have a cut dog and the stiches are not holding.

do you have any friends that are nurses or DRs. If you need one now that's about you only choice. Hospitals can only use them once then throw them away. So if you know somebody in the medical profession they may be able to get you one. Other wise try a medical supply store. your vet should have staples as well.

Samhain, Do you have an email address or number for the Nite Lite comp. Having a hard time keeping staple guns around this house. My dads dog isn't cooperating. I can get them from the vet but involves driving a distance. The ones here in town do not have them. And would like to have one that I can reload instead of the disposable ones. Thanks for any info. you can give me.

No joke on that "not keeping staples in" he has tore out the staples two times allready, so you need to cover it up some how so the dog can`t get to them, we put a shirt on Jake but he still got to the staples and ripped them. Talk about a dumb B&T. You might want to try to get one of those head things so the dog can`t reach the stiches. Mike Marcum

Tony sowed it up and it came a loose. I don't know if he chewed it or if the skin just ripped.
Remember how the cut on Bell's leg looked, well this is not as bad. It is horizontal cut, about 2 inches long, on his upper leg and you can see the muscle. It happened over the weekend and no vet was available. It's starting to heel up. I think he'll be fine.

We had a dog that got a barb wire cut on her leg, in about the same place, we used cotton padding and vet wrap, to wrap her leg so she could not get to it. You do need to use quite a bit of the cotton padding so the wrap wasn't too tight, you have to be real careful not to get it too tight, but she could not get to it. But we did have to keep her in a kennel in the garage so it didn't get wet. Just something to think about.
