Hank Wins 2nd Place In Nite Hunt!!

Well, now all we need is a 4th or better to finish Hank out to NTCH!

We went to Murphy Saturday night, and Hank got 2nd with a whopping 50+!!!

It's really all down hill from here!!!

I just hope that he can finish out in one more hunt, not 2. It just looks better.

Christy.

That is great!

Are you all going to stud him out now? or what.

I know you said that you were going to when he made NTCH, but what about now?

If he's got a 1st and a 2nd, it's nothing to get the rest!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Congrats on your win!! I have a 2 year old English Male that I got a 2nd on this weekend with 500+. That finished him with a 1st and Two 2nd. Three straight hunts won my casts with no minus. I know how it feels when you train them and they do a good job for you. Good luck!!!!

Whistle Pig...

Oh were proud! We're tickled pink! It was honest all right. Right down to the possum that they slammed!!! Hey, I never said that he was perfect.

Here's the story, didnt have time to post it other times!

Hank was the only male in a 4 dog cast. He's been penned up with 5 females in heat close by for nearly 3 months. Daddy has Beagles and one would come out and another would go in! I just knew that Hank would have ladies on his mind. But he never even sniffed of one of the females, they were the least of his concerns.

First turn lose:

Hank gets 2nd strike 2nd tree. He actually treed first, but him and this other dog sounded alot alike, and the boy treed his dog for Hank. He admitted later that he was wrong and he was sorry. Coon was seen. That gave him 150+. At that point in time, Hank was the only dog that had plus points. It took him 90 minutes to work the track, because it was an old track and the coon had been gone a while. He was the only dog that stayed in there and didnt get minused for coming out or off the track OR off the tree!!

2nd turn lose:

Hank gets 2nd strike and 4th tree for 100. Quincy said as soon as he heard him locate-2nd, that he thought that it was a possum. See, sometimes Hank will have a squeak to his bark. Usually, it's a possum if he does. The last couple he's treed, he's treed for a minute then come off because we've been trying to break him. We were hoping that he would come off and Quincy wouldnt have to tree him in at all! Well, he treed for a minute, and he quit squeaking, and Quincy treed him in last. He was going to get minused anyways, if Hank was treed, but not declared treed, and he wasnt 100% sure that it was a possum!! So, he treed him in just in case it was a coon. It was a possum!!

That track and tree took up the rest of the 2 hours, and Hank ended up with 50+.

There was a guy on the cast that had an 8 year old female direct out of Lipper. He said that he wanted to hunt some more with us, and that we could use him as a reference if we needed too. He said that even on the possum where he wasnt barking whole heartedly, he was one of the loudest dogs that he's been in the woods with.

They all had a good cast, nice dogs, nice people.

Hey Christy, congrats on the 2nd. In the nite hunt we were tied with first with 175 plus(dixie). Then Taterbug spanged her anckle so i pulled my dogs out of the hunt, my kids are more important than a win to me, but we had a great time there. axe and dixie got by themselfs and treed them one about a mile and a half away we could not here them so we called time out and found them under one of them huge hemlocks up there. but it was all worth while with Taterbugs pup running that 100 yard dash and slamming that coon, not bad for 14 weeks old. he is living up to his name TurBo..... are they having another hunt up that way soon???? Gary...

December 27.

HOW IS TATERBUG? I heard about that and was worried.

I WILL BE MAKING SURE THAT THEY HOLD ALL OF THEIR SHOWS AND HUNTS AT THE ADVERTISED TIME IN BLOODLINES!!! NOT JUST WHEN THEY DECIDE TO HAVE IT! I WILL BE CALLING GEORGE POSTELL EVERY DAY FOR 2 WEEKS TO TELL HIM OF WHEN THE SHOW AND HUNT STARTS. THAT WAY THEY CANT SAY "OH, WE DIDNT KNOW WHEN IT STARTED, SO WE JUST HAD IT AT 3PM BECAUSE WE VOTED TO HAVE ALL OUR SHOWS START AT THAT TIME!!!"

I will be making for sure that UKC knows that happened.

You saw for your self (at least with the male dogs for BOS), which dog looked better. They just did that to keep from having to re-fill out the paperwork again!

You coming in December? Hope so!!!

I tell you, I was really proud of Hank. He might have treed that possum on the last turn lose, but he worked that track for nearly 90 minutes before he ever treed. One guy minused out on the first turn lose because his dog would go in, strike trail for a while, then come back out.

Hank stuck with it, grubbed that track out, and ended up with the coon!!

The other 3 guys were real impressed with him. They all gave their #'s and said we could use them for references!
