Regarding Vacation
Well crew, take care and don't work to hard while I'm gone. I won't be thinking of you while I'm setting in the great outdoors watching another day unfold, totally amazed at the scope of things, wondering why we as human beings insist on making things so complicated, while watching the sun come up and listening to the wild turkeys waking in the treetops, the chatter of the squirrels, the rabbits at play and wondering if the footsteps rustling the leaves on the trail in the woods will be the wall hanger trophy that the Axman dreams of.
By the way, want to wet a fishing line also . . . . my dad caught a 5.75 pound bass Sunday from one of his farm ponds and was extremely proud of the fact that he landed it without help, something that he hasn't been able to do since he had his stroke and heart attack. We are taking a couple of the coonhounds and want to take Dad out and tree a coon . . .it's been years since he's followed the hounds chasing ol' Mr. Ringtail. Figure that we can get it done in an open timber that he has with the aid of a four wheeler.
Guess I'd have to say that it doesn't get much better than this - - being able to be outdoors with the people you love and cherish, doing something that you really enjoy to put things back into perspective, refreshing you mind and restoring your soul.
