Because Cricket was found to be excluded from the sire and so that opened up the pedigree on his side.

UKC registration doesn't always mean a dog is Purple Ribbon Bred. For example, any single registered dog is not Purple Ribbon Bred.

UKC makes every effort to locate the correct sire when a dog has received a DNA exclusion. If we cannot, we open up the pedigrees so we are not hurting innocent people like yourself. The other option would be to cancel the records of all offspring.
