Lite Connection

IM NOT HEAR TO RUN THEM DOWN. BUT I WANTED TO SEE IF HAS HAPPENED TO ANY OF U. I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 21VOLT BELT LTE, SPOTLITE SUSSPENDERES AND ALL. I BOUGHT IT FROM DONOLD WARREN'S HOUNG SUPPLY IN GREENVILLE, NC. TOOK THE LITE HOME AND CHARGED IT JUST LIKE THEY SAID DO IT. TOOK IT OFF THE CHARGER AND WENT OUTSIDE TO GO CHECK A TRAP, THAT WAS DOWN BY THE CREEK.

WHEN I FIRST SWITCHED THE LITE TO FIRST CLICK ON THE LOW SIDE I WAS AMAZED AT HOW BRIGHT IT ALREADY WAS. WENT ON THREW THE POSTIONS ON THE LOW SIDE. LIKE I SAID I WAS AMAZED AT LIGHT.

SO THEN I REPEATED SAME STEP'S ON THE HIGH SIDE ( ALOWING IT TO WARM UP BEFORE SWITCHING. WHEN I GOT IT WIDE=OPEN IT LIT THE WHOLE WORLD UP. NE SAYING TO MYSELF IVE GOT SOM'EM AND THINGING HOW RIGHT MR. WARREN WAS FOR TELLING ME THAT WOULD NOT NEED A SPOTLITE WITH THIS LITE, BUT ME THE WAY I AM HAD TO HAVE IT ANYWAY.

NOW TO THE PROBLEM WHEN I WOULD SHINE IT FOR A FEW MINUTE'S ON HIGH (ON THE HIGH SIDE ) THEN SWITCH IT DAWN A NOTCH OR TWO, THE WHOLE THING WOULD OUT. WAIT A FEW MIN, CUT IT UP TO THE FIRST CLICK AND IT WOULD BURN FOR ABOUT 5 SEC. THEN GO OUT. BUT IT WOULD BURN ON THE HIGHEST CLICK UNTIL U SET THE WOOD'S ON FIRE.

CARRED IT BACK THE NEXT DAY, MR. WARREN TOOK ANOTHER BRAND NEW ONE OUT OF THE BOX. I EXPLAIND WHAT IT WAS DOING, AND CAN U BELEIVE THAT ONE WORKED THE EXACT SAME WAY.

IT WAS THE BRIGHTEST LITE ID EVER SEEN AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW U HAD IT ON, TRIED DIFF. BULBS,THAT DID NOT HELP.
ENDED UP BUYING A SUNBURST EAGLE III. NO WHERE NEAR AS BRIGHT, BUT HAS BEEN DEPENDABLE SO FAR. ( BUT I HEAR PEOPLE ARE PROBS. WITH THEM TOO )

JUST WOUNDERING IF ANY OF U EVER SEEN THIS???

THANK'S ED

I have a belt light that does the same thing, I don't like it. Especially when I'm trying to shine a tree during a nite hunt. I would like to know how to change this?

alright high side isnt at all like low side low side you can click through all your positions high side is only supposed to be used on the highest click setting thats why the burn time on high is so much lower you can not click through on high you must leave it alone you will mess up your switch if you keep clicking threw on high and your bulb also there aint nothing wrong with the lights thats how they are supposed to be i have two buddys that build lights jerry hutto(country boy lights) and my buddy rob and they both explained this to me way back when about 5 years ago i reckon and once they taught me how to use a light i havnt had a problem with my lights

light

When using your light on the high side, it has to be wide open, you can not turn it down on your switch. This is only true on the high side. If your light is on the low side, you can use your switch at what ever setting you want. But when on high side, it HAS to be wide open on your switch, or it will shut down. When it does go down, leave on high side wide open, then turn it off, switch to low side, then turn back on. Good luck.

He is right guys, that's how a good light is SUPPOSED to work. It keeps you from burning things up by holding back the current on the hi side. I think you can use the hi side on the last two clicks on a Lite Connection light, if it isn't on the last two clicks the safety switch cuts the light off after so many seconds(could be wrong, it may be only the highest click but I thought it was the last two). Mine has a reostat instead of a click switch (love it) but I think it has to be up around 90% to run the high side or the safety switch kicks in and cuts it off after a few seconds.

IT'S TO KEEP YOU FROM TEARING UP YOUR LIGHT BY FRYING IT.

THE LIGHT WAS WORKING PERFECTLY, and if I remember correctly this is explained in the operating instructions. ALL major brands do this, Brite Eyes, Blazer, Cajun etc. It is a safety feature. I don't think this was needed on our lower powered lights, but the new ones have so much juice coming through on hi that if you don't let it go on to the bulb you will fry the light. Without this feature if you forgot and had the light on the 3rd click on hi and it fried the light you would just be out a light cause it would be your fault for burning it up. I for one am glad it's on all lights now cause I know I get excited at a tree and would burn one up without it.
