Need Some Advice

This has been brewing for about 2 weeks. Have an 8 month old gyp, tracks great, bawl mouth, good chop on tree, trees her own coon , sound promiseing right. Now the problem in the last 2 weeks has turned pretty mean at tree when hunting other dogs with her. Got so mad tonight lead her back to truck and packed it in early.
My question to ya'll is will she get over this problem or does she need a head thumping (bang). Been a long time since I had a mean dog at the tree. So what do ya'll think about this.

salty at the tree

I have two friend that both had nice young dogs turn salty overnight.
One put a shocking collar on his female and every time he saw her blow, or grab another dog he would light her up! It didn't help her. She is still mean and no one will hunt with her now.
My other friend would hurry to every tree and when he saw his male dog blow, or grab another hound he beat the crap out of him. It only took two nights of that, now he is a perfect gentleman at every tree. All dogs a diffurent.

Well this has been my thought on this too, beat the crap out of her , but she will never be a compation dog , and I would hate to breed her and pass this gene on to some one else. So I have 2 chocies, thump her in the head, or spray her and tear up the papers, and hunt her by her self.

I have read on one of these websites about breaking a young dog from being ill at the tree or anywhere else. It was a older gentlemen who said take a plastic ball bat with the real thin walls with you hunting and keep it near by. If any of your hounds even show a aggressive behavior them bam on top of the head. After a couple of time of that ringing plastic in his ears it will break him. I know cause I had a young male english dog that did that and I use it on him and now he would not think of starting no crap. Holler No when you do it so he gets the picture. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.
