UKC BEAGLE Doggie Name/Ownership Changes Possible?

I am considering buying a UKC registered Beagle that was registered as a pup. The Beagle is now over 2 years of age.

Can I change the UKC name of the Beagle and the ownership info on file?

What is the procedure and the costs involved?

Thanks!

You will receive a UKC Registration Certificate at the time of sale - if you don't, don't buy the dog!

If you do, send that to us with the appropriate fee (fees are lsited on the back of the Certificate). You can change the name of the dog (spaces are allowed for that) up until the dog becomes titled.

Please clarify for me.

You mention before a beagle is "titled".
Please clarify this terminology.

The Beagle has a UKC "document" that lists ownership/ & her name as

Martin's ZeeZee Dot - is that a registered name or a title? Is a title referring to winning championships in competition? (I have no desire to enter this dog into competition.)

There is a history of bloodline numbers, etc.

I do not have the paper in my posession at this time but I glanced at it when I was visiting the dog yesterday.

Having a Setter with AKC registry only I am confused about name change.

Sorry if I confused you. A title would be Champion or Hunting Beagle Champion. What you listed is not a title.

This is what I received with the Beagle.

A Permanent Registration Certificate UKC No. P306-731.

The First Buyer never sent in the bill of sale info , but she completed out part of it on the back, she PRINTED her name where she was supposed to sign, and filled in her address. The Date of Sale to her was 10/14/01. It is signed by the breeder who sold her the dog and is the original permanent registration certificate.

It says I can not white out or alter any info on the Bill of Sale info or it is void.

Therefore, Please advise what I need to do to get the registration changed to our name and to register the dog's new name. Our date of purchase was 9/25/03.
