i have a walker pup that is about 7 months old. he is 100% walker but the guy i got him from didnt do anything with papers on the sire and dam as far as regisration goes so i have no papers on the pup or any way of getting papers. i would like to be able to put him in the hunts and bench shows but with no papers i cant. is there any way i could get him registered? the pup is really my sons dog and he is 9 years old and really wants to be able to show and hunt him. please let me know if there is anything i can do to get him registered so my boy can hunt and show him. thank you.

So are the parents on puppy papers or do they have no papers at all?

from what i understand they had papers at one time but the guy never put them in his name and im not sure who they were registered under to begin with. that is the dam an sire im talking about. the pup has no pup papers at all. the guy give me the pup but when it comes to papers he dont even mess with them. i hate to be a pain to him but if i half to then i guess i will. didnt know if it would be easyer to just single reg, if that was something i could do. thanks

Yes, it sounds like you would have to single register the dog with us, by going through the Treeing Walker Coonhound Association. The person from the Association that you need to contact is Melvin Myers and his phone number is: (918) 667-3603.
