 made a young man happy today

Yesterday I was aproached at work by a 14 year old boy who's daddy knew that I was a coon hunter. He asked me if I knew of or had any pups for sale. I told him that I had a 8mnth old registered redbone and that I wanted $150 for him. Later we agreed on $80 and 2 50lb bags of corn along with the promise that he would hunt and love the dog or sell him back to me. This morning him and his dad picked up the dog. I couldn't believe how happy that youngin was. He grinned from ear to ear. Made me feel good to make him happy, along with hopefuly doing a little somthin to keep this great sport alive.

That's what it's all about!! It's good to hear of some nice people still around!! Sounds like the boy is a pretty good bargainer to. Lol

thats great.... i sold a kid a pup the other day for 21 bucks and a dog collar.... had to drive 80 miles back home and get another to replace it with.... just couldnt resist the offer he made me lol

. LOL, yeah, he had me down to $50 and 5 caged coons at one point, but when he seen the dog he said he had to have it right then. I really didn't care about the money.I had $150 in the dog, but didn't really like its personality, plus I have another young dog that takes all my time. Just wanted to see the youngin get a pup. Plus his daddy told me not to make it too easy on him. Lol
