AI cost

I was thinking about getting a dog AI'd and was wondering what the cost would be, also what all I would need to do, and she has started to swell up already.

Thanks

To do an AI without first doing progesterone testing is a waste of time and semen. Progesterone testing here (No. AL) about $60 per test (usually need about 3 tests) and the AI is about $100. But yes, contact the repro vet who will be doing the work.

For frozen you're going to want to transcervical as those swimmers don't have near the lifespan as fresh chilled.

The Cost of Transport of Frozen Semen Is a Killer and I think its Way over Priced !!!!!

The Cost of the N2 Vapor Shipper and Protection Case is Expansive But at the Rates Fokes are charging for Rental is Outrageois !! FedX and UPS is going to Charge around $125 ... and your Going to atleast $200 for the Tank Usage plus around $25 per Day that you have it ..

About the Cheepest Vapor Shipper and Case cost around $945 Delivered ..
and thats a bare Bones Shipper .. If you ad a Tempeture Recorder you can ad another $500 ..

This is a Problem I have with a Trans Cervical Insemination .. Not only are you Depositing Healthy Sperm that are going to have the Only Chance of Inseminating the Egg But your also Polluting the Uterus with Very Poor / Crippled and Dead Cells .. The Process should be as Natural as Possible which is that only Healthy Strong Sperm Cells Make the Trip Thru the Cervix to the Uterus ..
I use a Very Special AI Catheter that is the next best thing to Transcervical Insemination (that only a Vet is allowed to do by law)
This Cath. has a Balloon that holds the Full amount of Semen Right Against the cervix for 30 min . This allows the Semen the Greatest chance of entering the Uterus Thru the Cervical Canal (its a Maze of Sorts) Quickly and only the Very Healthiest Sperm.
