Jeff, the breeder of the litter is entitled to 10% of their lifetime earnings.

Sounds to me like you're saying "owner at time of breeding" .

I feel like Mr Allens statement is either wrong or misleading!!! I'm holding a UKC Litter Registration Application.

STEP 1 is litter information

STEP 2 you list the name and number of the sire--- AND THE OWNER AT TIME OF BREEDING

STEP 3 Ditto for dam of litter.

STEP 4 You put the name of the Owner of the dam at the time of birth . This person will reg. the litter=====I believe that at this time the owner of the female at time of breeding is no longer in the picture

STEP 7 THE LITTER REGISTRANT buys the UKC Performance Program. So can any one explain to me why this party does not collect the reward?????

Robert, my response may in fact be misleading. Especially, when you consider the following.

The owner of the dam, at the time of the breeding, is considered the "breeder" of the litter.

However, the PRP monies are paid out to the "litter owner". So, in most cases that is the breeder but not always. Here's an example of myself not being the breeder but am entitled to PRP earnings of the litter.

Sire: Striker - owned by Jeff Davis
Dam: Daisy - owned by Joe Davis (breeder)

Litter Owner: Allen Gingerich (I get the PRP money on this litter)

Hope this clarifies the matter. Sorry, for my initial "grey area" response.
