Every breed association is now allowed to have one breed specific rqe. I am not a big fan of them, and I hunt a few Leopards so that should tell you something. I think if you are going to get a dog qualified you should have to compete against everybody not just beat the best your breed has to offer. JMO

The worst part is i live 10 miles away and will be asked to guide, but instead of being able to hunt an rqe at home i will have to drive atleast 2 hours to go to one

These all breed RQE's are used on the Thursday nights of Breed Association hunts. Even before they were RQE events they were still all breed hunts. If it was not an RQE it would still be a hunt 10 minutes away that you could not enter without a dog of that breed....

They are stupid. Even if it is legal for all breeds.

At the same time those breed hunts are to see what the other guy has and maybe see it go. RQE's hunt all classes together and still give you a chance to win something . Actually make pretty good breed fellowship hunts and for people coming from all over the country at $4/gal why not. Until you enter a Zone hunt you're not in anyway.

Don't know if Walkers need one unless for the reasons above since most hunts are mostly walkers anyway.

I understand the all breed hunt by y make it a rqe, ive guided the all red when we had redbone days, just think its a waste of a rqe if it just for one breed, and that goes for any single breed rqe, i think rqe should be open to all breeds
